Junior Livestock Show at The Dalles THE DALLES (Special) For the fifteenth time Oregon boys and girls will gather in this Co lumbia River city June 4-7 for the annual Junior Livestock Show of the Oregon Wheat Crow ers League. Early years of the show were recalled by General Manager El mer Llerman as the operating board began whipping into ac tion plans for conduct of the event This year's show again will be held at the commodious Seufert Buildings In Wasco County Park opposite The Dalles Dam, but for a number of years the event was held with the cooperation of Frank Wink and his sons at their auction yards, torn down to make way for a freeway. These early shows were con ducted by the Eastern Oregon Wheat League, predecessor of the present statewide organiza tion. Showing of fat steers, hogs and lambs was by 4-H club showmen, but for some years now an FFA show has also been held, Llerman said. Now this event Is of equal stature to the 4 II show.
