No. The amount of last year's budget has no bearing on next year's school operation. Without a voter approved budget the school district could raise $191,513 In local school taxes; this with state basic and other school funds would leave the school district short $509,000 of Its estimated needs. Q. How long could the schools operate without a budget? A. We estimate that legally available funds would be ex hausted by November 30, 1961. Q.
