Each of the potted bulba had a valentine message from the Soroptlmist members. Mrs. Theta Stratton assisted with the delivery of the bulbs. SEA MATS The gala event of the year was the Elks annual and ladles card party held at the Catholic parish hall Saturday afternoon. The room was attractively dec orated with hearts and cupldi depicting the Valentine season The Elks officers and trustees wive Mrs. W. II. Wolff. Mr. Harley Young. Mr. Everett Keithley. Mr. Leroy Gardner, Mr. Kemp Dick. Mrs. Bob Flstt, Mrs. Pat O'Brien. .Mrs. Harlan McCurdy. Mrs, Glen Ward. Mr. LaVerne Van Marter. Mr. Jack Van Winkle, Mr. Ray Ferguson, and Mrs. Milton Morgan had charge of the card party, as slstlng about the rooms and serving coffee, tea, and cookies to br'd and pinochle players throughout the afternoon. Several of the out-of-town guests were entertained In the lovely tea room at the parish hall. Approximately 12S people took part In the afternoon pro gram and prizes were awarded the winners. High in bridge went to Mrs. Ed Dick, second to Mrs. Floyd Worden, and low to Mrs. Harriet HasBrueck of Milton Freewater. The winners in pin ochle were Mrs. Gerald Rea, high; Mrs. Charles Beckett, sec ond; and Mrs. Van Hubbard, low. This year, another new attrac tion was added with the award ing of five door prizes to Mrs. Schaffltz. Immediately following the pro gram refreshment were served. During the meeting preceding the reception Vlckl Krelmeyer, Teresa Munkers, Leora Van Winkle, and Ksthy Melby were Initiated Into the Order of the Rainbow for Girl.
