Mr. and Mrs. George Stubblefleld drove to Heppner Tuesday noon to attend the last services of their aunt, Mrs. Jack (Susan) Hynds. who passed away at her home in Pendleton Sunday, Dec. 18. Mr. and Mrs. Verne McCarty drove to Heppner Saturday where they spent Christmas with her sister and family, the Clayton Sweeks. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bezold and two sons, also her brother that stayed with them to go to school here, left Friday for Ida ho for the holidays with their families. Mrs. Nathan Thorpe was hostess for the County Extension Unit at her home Tuesday after noon of last week, with Mrs. Frank Marlow as co-hostess. Mrs. Earl Brlggs was leader of the meeting, subject of which was "Safety In Driving." A quiz was given to members on the rules of safe driving.
