The eligibility chancres became effective Dec 6, the date the election count was made official. The deadline for World War II veterans to apply for state loans for homes and farms is January 31, 1980. The deadline lor Ko rean vpterans is January 31, 1988. There were no deadlines previ ously. World War II veterans to be pllcHhle for the loans must have served at least 90 days In the armed forces between September 15, 1940, and December 31, 1946. These dates used to be Septem ber 1, 1940, and September 2, 1945. Thev must have been Ore gon residents at time of entry into service, or have resided in Oregon for at least two years be tween date of discharge and De cember 31, 1950. Korean veterans must have served at least 90 days between June 25, 1950, and January 31, 1955. They must have been Ore gon residents at time of entry into service, or for at least two vpr hptween discharge and De cember 31, I960. There was no deadline previously for this post war residence requirement for Korean veterans.
