The bride, given In marriage by her father Wilbur SteagalL wn lovely in a white lace over taffeta ballerina length wedding gown with scalloped neckline and quarter length sleeves with accent on the back. She wore a shoulder length veil of net and lace and carried a cascade of white glads tied with net and satin ribbon and cradled in the middle the lovely white bridal orchid. Her matron of honor was a sister, Mrs Jerry Dougherty of lleppner who wore a turquoise colored sleeveless ballerina length gown, a white hat, and carried a cascade of pink car nations and white everlastings tied with pink net and ribbon. The brides maids wore Identical gowns to the matron of honor, orchid corsage. The punch was served by Mrs Hugo Leyva. grandmother of the groom. Also served were dainty sandwiches and side dishes. The cake, a lovely bridal creation of three tiers with the traditional bride and groom adorning the top, was served by Mrs Bob Stcagall, and from this tabic was served Ice cream mints, by Mrs Don Hat field. In charge of the guest book was Miss Alene Boyajlan, and Mrs Bill Steagali of Pendleton was In charge of the gifts. The reception was In charge of Mrs Bill Doherty and Mrs Roy Martin with Mrs Tad Miller as sisting. For going away the bride wore natural linen suit, with an trip to Steagali of Portland, both sisters of the bride, and Charlene Jones of Lexington. Best man for the groom was his brother Hugo Leyva. Preeeedlng the bridal party down the aisle was the flower girl, Kathleen McEllIgott of lone dressed in a white nylon dress, who was accompanied by the ring bearer Kennon Scrlvner. Mrs Don Hatfield of Madras was the vocalist and was accompanied by Miss Marguerite Glavey. Ushers were Tommy Martin, Billy Doherty, Russell Dolven, and Jim Steagali of Lexington I land where Mr Leyva will attend flight school at Troutdale. Wolff Twins Feted On Sixth Birthday Mrs Wallace Wolff gave a neighborhood birthday party Fri day afternoon to honor the twins Kelly and Shelly on their sixth birthday. Guests were Bobette Jones, Marie Van Marter, Laurie Lab- hart, Kent and Lance William son, Tracey Glmbel, Kathleen Ayers, Billy and Tommy Wolff. MISS MEREDITH THOMSON Engagement Told By Meredith Thomson Mr and Mrs James G Thom son announce trie engagemeni of their daughter, Meredith Jean to Charles Thomas Walters, son f Mr and Mrs Charles A Walters of Woodland Hills. Soroptimists Have Annual Hayride Benefit Card Party There were ten tables In play at the annual card party spon sored by the Soroptlmlst Club of Heppner for the benefit of the teenage Hallowe'en hayride. The party was Monday evening at the All Saints' Episcopal partsn house. The prizes were won In pin ochle by Mrs Howard Kelthley for high, Bess Huddleston second high and Mrs Carolyn Allstott for low. In bridge, Mrs Edith Labhart was high, Mrs James Drlscoll second and low Mrs Gordon Pratt. The door prize food basket was won by Mrs James Johnston.
