Mrs Franklin Ely wa honored
as one of the outstanding teach
ers in the lone schools Friday,
May 27 at the school class night.
She was presented with the
school annual which was dedi
cated to her.
She has taught for 17 consec
utive years in the lone grade
school and Is now the 4th grade
teacher. She also taught seven
and one-half years in other
schools before starting at lone.
Mr and Mrs Ely live on a
ranch near Morgan. They have
one daughter, Mrs Delmer Craw
ford, lone; one son Fayne Ely
of Portland, three granddaugh
ters and three grandsons. She
Is a member of Delta Kappa
Gamma, an honorary teachers
sorority.
Among the colleges she has at
tended are Oregon College of
Fduentlon at Monmouth; South
ern Oregon College, Eastern Ore
gon College and Tortland Mate.
