Last Wednesday evening, the
guild of First Christian church
met at the home of Mrs Pearl
Dovine, with Mrs Delbert Wright
as co -host ess.
There were 13 members and
one visitor, Mrs Melvin Akers, of
Vancouver, Wash.
After a business meeting and
a missionary study of Africa, a
social followed. A "hanky tree"
with numerous lilac blossoms
fastened naturally and several
"hankies" made into umbrellas
fastened temporarily, was pre
sented to Mrs Joe Stewart, as a
farewell gift. Many sent hankies,
who could not attend.
Delicious refreshments were
served at the conclusion of the
evening.
