of about $2,000 to $.1,000 to put In one term In
the House of Representative, and twice that
amount to be a Senator, because the term la
twice a long. That doesn't count what might
te lost fnm a business because of absence

Could you afford to pend 4 to 5 moot ha
every oiher year at Salem, and probably another
equal amount of time on committee work during
the rM of the two year term, for just fGOO a
year? We know we couldn't, and there aren't
too many others who can. either.
At $2,100 a year no one will make any money
at the Job, but they should be entitled to expen

ballot measure No 1. be given a "YES" vote, j

planted five years ago. Because
of the few bass harvestea irom

to seine It to determine the a-

would not be taken by seine

was by a "super-duper" lure on
the end of a fish pole of Andy

who participated in the tour. The
nine inch bass caught provided
demonstration for skinning
and filleting. The bass provided
a delicious breakfast for me on
Friday morning.
Interest in farm fish ponds Is
very high this spring. Approx
imately 20,000 fingerlings have
been or will be planted this
room at the courthouse, Ileppner.
Bureau of Land Management
representatives will be present
to explain boundary mod meat
Ions and to discuss other pert
Inent matters. The meeting will
be open to all licensees and
other Interested parties who de
sire to express their views on
the subject.
All livestock growers are re
minded of the educational meet

fair annex building In Ileppner
on Tuesday evening. May 10,
Representatives of the state de
partment of agriculture and the
bureau of animal industry will
be present to explain the new
mocram In the eradication ot
Brucellosis. Since the new pro

want to acquaint themselves
with the requirements which
they and our county will need
to follow in order to Keep our
