death of Oral E Falmateer, 64
of Salom, March 2. He was well
known here and was with the
Standard Oil company for many
years and showed pictures to the
schools in the state. He was for

a World Wax I veteran, a
past state department comman
der of the American Legion, and
took an active part In Legion
work. He Is survived by his wife,
Frances; two sons; one daugh
ter, one sister and 9 grandchild

Paula Barak, a senior In the
Ione high school was one of the
winners of the Elks Lodge 358
Youth leadership awards. Paula
is the daughter of Mr and Mrs
Jack Barak and has been going
to high achool here for the past
two years. She Is very active In
school affaire. Is vice president
of the senior class and the Pep
club and Is editor of the Ionlrn,
the school annual. She was a
delegate to Girl's State last year
which Is sponsored by the Amer
ican Legion Auxiliary.
