Comment of Impressed legis lators present, was that they had often wished all state govern ment headquarters were in the capital city where department heads were immediately avail able and the workings of de partments could be observed at any hour, Instead or at a pre arranged "showboat" period. I PRIMARY FILINGS SLOW I In past days whert there were more registered Rep u b 1 i c a n s than Democrats in a majority of the precincts of the state, the GOP boys took their time for filing. The habit was to wait and size up the opposition in their own party. Now their party tan-1 gents have eased off because of increasing Democratic registra tions. The most of the sizing up Is being done by the Democrats. During the last two weeks the filings at the State Elections Div ision of the Secretary of State, were on a ratio of 7-to-4 with the Democrats showing a con sistent day by day lead. If this ratio maintains until filing deadline the Democrats will have the longest primary ballot in Oregon history. CHURCH OF -a NAZARENE Robert Whybrew, pastor Sunday school 10 a m. Worship 11 a m.
