The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, repeated her vows in the traditional white satin with chantilly lace and net over skirt, with the veil held by a pearl tiara. She carried white rosebuds and mums on a cov ered prayer book to match her gown. The wedding was solemnized by the Rev Raymond Beard of tjie Heppner church. Miss Beverly Davidson, a sis ter of the bride, was her maid of honor, and wore a ldvely blue chiffon dress with matching slippers and carried a basket of yellow fiji mums. Daniel Reed of Grandview was the groom's best man and the ushers were Robert David son of Lexington and Dennis Do- herty of Heppner. The flower girl was Miss Suzi Viall and ring bearer was Ray Den Viall of Grandview. Susi was dressed in yellow nylon and carried yellow mums and Ray carried a white satin pillow trimmed with lace. Herbert Davidson, brother of the bride, and Michael Davidson, cousin of the bride, were altar boys. The church was beautlf ully decorated with bouquets of yellow mums and white satin bows on the pews. A reception was held immed lately following in the church parlors. After the cutting of the first piece of cake by the bride the cake was served by Mrs Har old Young, aunt of the bride, as sisted by Mrs William J Van Winkle. Pouring were Mrs War ren Sutton, great aunt of the bride, and Mrs Ray Baddeley, sister-in-law of the groom. In charge of the gifts was a classmate of the bride, Miss Judy Darnielle and in charge of the guest book was Miss Charlene Jones. Mrs B J Doherty was in charge of the reception with Mrs Gene Wardwell, Mrs William Doherty, Mrs Don Pointer and Mrs Ger trude Applegate assisting. For going away the bride chose a brown suit with matching ac cessories and wore a white rose corsage. After a short wedding trip the young couple will be at home in Grandview where the groom is employed. Mrs Viall was a graduate of the 1959 class in Lexingtan. Those attending were Mrs Charlie Becket, Mrs Frank E Parker, Mrs Ben Anderson, Mrs Robert Lowe, Mrs Henry Hap- pold, Mrs Earl Evans, Mrs Ed Le Trace, Mrs Max Harris, Miss Esther Bergstrom and Mrs Edna Turner. Mrs Walter Becket won high prize for the afternoon, Mrs Charlie Becket won low and Mrs Evans and Miss Bergstrom won the double pinochle prize. Mrs Gribble Hostess For Sewing Club The Wednesday Sewing Club met last week at the home of Mrs Lowell Gribble. Alvin Wagenblasts Have Dinner Guests Dinner guests last week of Mr and Mrs Alvin Wagenblast were Edna Oster of Molalla, past pres ident of the Rebekah Assembly of Oregon, grand representative of IARA, and vice chairman Jurisdictional Joint Youth com mittee, also Mr and Mrs Merle Wright of Canby. Soroptimists Meet For Sack Lunch Members of the Soroptimist Club of Heppner met Thursday noon at the home of Miss Leta Humphreys for a sack lunch. Final plans were discussed for the annual Hallowe'en hayride that the club sponsors for Hep pner students. The committee in charge of the hayride this year was head ed by Mrs W C Collins, assisted by Mrs Al Mattoon, Mrs Roice Fulleton, Mrs Oliver Creswick, Mrs Bob Dobbs, Mrs James Thomson and Mrs Harry O'Don-nell. Mrs Lowe Hostess For Birthday Party Mrs Robert Lowe entertained with a party honoring Mrs Henry Krebs of Arlington Thursday af ternoon at her home. The guests were Mrs Ralph Philips of Arlington, Mrs Am brose Chapin, Mrs Henry Happold Mrs 0 E Wright, Mrs Earl Evans and Mrs Art Watkins. After birthday cake and cof fee, pinochle was played and high prize was won by Mrs Evans, with Mrs Happold win ning low. Mrs Evans and Mrs Happold also won the double pinochle prize. Two Bridge Clubs Have Joint Meeting Tuesday evening of last week Mrs Don Bennett and Mrs Riley Munkers were co-hostesses for their respective bridge clubs at the Bennett home. Their guests were Mrs Marion Green, Mrs Del Jordan, Mrs Mar shall Lovgren, Mrs Jimmy Prock, Mrs Wayne Prock, Mrs Ralph Richmond, Mrs Carl Thorpe, Mrs Glen Ward, Mrs Ned Sweek, Mrs Jack Healy, Mrs Dick Meador, Mrs Don Bellenbrock, Mrs Cres- ton Robinson, Mrs Bill Heath and Mrs Kemp Dick. High scores for the evening were held by Mrs Green and Mrs Bellenbrock, second high were Mrs Richmond and Mrs Sweek and low were Mrs Meador and Mrs Jordan. Refreshments were served by the hostesses at the end of the evening. Wednesday Dinner Honors Birthday Mrs Harry Bongers entertain ed with a surprise birthday din ner honoring her husband Wed nesday evening of last week. The guests attending were Mr and Mrs Bob Brindle, Mr and Mrs Harry O'Donnell, Mr and Mrs Paul Koenig, Mr and Mrs Phil Blakney and Mr and Mrs Fred Prussing. Duplicate Club Meets At Van Marter Home The Duplicate bridge club was entertained at the home of Mr and Mrs La Verne Van Marter Thursday evening of last week. The guests were Mrs Bill Lab- hart, Mrs Gene Hall, Mr and Mrs Bill Collins, Mr and Mrs L E Dick, Mr and Mrs C E McQuarrie, Dr and Mrs Wallace Wolff, Mr and Mrs Dick Meador, Mr and Mrs Lowell Gribble and Conley Lanham.
