HASTI NGS-DUGAN WEDDING EVENT OF
JUNE AT HEPPNER METHODIST CHURCH
An event of Friday evening,
June 26 at the Heppner Meth
odist church was the marriage of
Vonda Dugan, daughter of Mr
and Mrs W H Dugan of Hermls
ton, and Guy Hastings of Hepp
ner. The Rev Austin McGhee of
ficiated at the double ring cere
mony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her brother, Lester Dugan,
wore a full length white satin
gown with cummerbund of satin
and white accessories. She car
ried a nosegay of pink and white
carnations.
Attendants were Miss Edna
Morris, cousin of the bride, who
wore a pink nylon dress, baller
ina length, and a pink and white
carnation corsage, and Cary
Hastings, brother of the groom.
Carolyn Bookman, cousin of
the bride, candlelighter, was
dressed in a blue bellerina
lengthrAress and her candle was
tied with pink and white stream
ers. Also dressed in blue was
flower girl Sheryl Ann Edwards
and she carried a basket of white
petals.
Miss Charlene Jones of Lex
ington played the wedding music
and accompanied Franklin Mess
enger who sang, "Always" and
"The Wedding Prayer."
For the wedding the bride's
mother chose a beige dress with
black accessories and she also
had a pink and white carnation
corsage.

ter of the bride cut the groom's
cake. The bride's three nieces,
Teresa, Ramona and Charlenb
Wizner, served the cake.
Miss Florence Morris, cousin of
the bride and Mrs N D Bailey
poured and" another cousin of
the bride, Miss Doris Morris was
at the punch bowl.
Mrs Bill Edwards and Mrs
Frank Adkins were in charge of
the gift table and Mrs Paul
Breeding the guest book.
The couple left immediately on
a wedding trip to Centralia,
Washington and for the trip the
bride chose a white and silver
ballerina dress with tweed duster
and white accessories and she
wore the corsage from the cen
ter of her wedding bouquet.
They are now at home on the
Condon highway in a new home
that Mr Hastings has just com
pleted.

Mrs Walter Becket entertained
the pinochle club Friday after
noon of last week at her home.
Those attending were Mrs Fred
Mankin, Mrs Ben Anderson, Mrs

Max Buschke, Mrs Henry Hap
pold, Mrs Robert Lowe.
High score for the afternoon
was held by Mrs Evans, with
low going to Mrs Mankin. The
double pinochle prize was won
by Mrs Happold and Mrs Evans.

day evening at the home of her
sister, Mrs Elbert Cox.

made a report on the progress
and plans for the float.
Miss Leta Humphreys, pro
gram chairman, conducted a
question and answer period on
education in Soroptimism.
