California. They will make their home in Corvallis while com-

night, June 19 when Miss Bar
bara Barkhorn entered the First
Unitarian church, Stockton, Cal
ifornia, to become the bride of
Richard LaVerne (Dick) Konon
en of Heppner.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr and Mrs George R Barkhorn
of Stockton and the groom, the
son of Mrs Clarence Cox of Hepp
ner and the late Ben Kononen.
For her 7:30 p m marriage she
donned a princess style gown of
parchment satin overlaid with
acelon lace at the fitted bodice.
The dress was designed with
scalloped sabrina neckline, tap
"ered lace sleeves, and a cummer
bund of slipper satin ending in
a back bow and streamers,

had been flown from Hawaii.

length frocks of white linen styl
ed . with scoop necklines, three
quarter length sleeves, cummer
bunds and bows. Each added a
bow and small veil as a head
piece and carried a bouquet of
yellow carnations. Miss Konon
en's flowers were accented with
white, while the bridesmaids car
ried all yellow bouquets. -
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father and the cere
mony was performed by the Rev
Harold E Schmidt before an altar
decorated with white gladioli
and stock, green bells and yellow
carnations. White tapers in tall
candelabra were also used.
