Chats With Your

By ESTHER KIRMIS
We're already starting plans
for the Morrow county fair in
August. I have had two meetings
in setting up the premiums for
the printing of the fair booklet.
I met with Mrs Walter Wright,
general chairman of the home
economics exhibits, and several
of her chairmen to decide what
could be exhibited in clothing,
needlework, hobbies, canning,
foods and flowers.
4-H home economics leaders
also met a few days later to

We will be meeting for two
more additional days a week
apart to complete a cotton dress.
Basic fundamentals of pattern

I'm happy to announce that
we have received the backing of

The mimeographed histories,
printed in January, have long
disappeared out of our office
and have really become a col

Are vou thinking about can-

you'll like this! Morrow county
is fortunate in having a visit
from Mrs Vivian Freeman, home
economist of White Satin Sugar,
on June 2, at the Heppner fair
pavilion.
I contacted Mrs Freeman when
I attended the 4-H May festival
in Dallas on May 2. 3ne was
demonstrating canning to the
4-H youngsters and doing a mag
nificent job.
When I talked with her, I
found that she was coming to
Baker countv the first week In
June, so I asked why she could
n't stop off in Morrow county,
too.
We've cleared the date so on
June 2 she will give a canning
and freezing demonstration at
the 4-H annex building out at
the fair grounds, starting at 1:30
p m.
For manv vears Mrs Freeman
