Annual Banquet, Sweetheart Ball Held at Lexington

An evening of fun, entertain
ment, and the renewing of old
acquaintances started for many
of the Lexington people with a
banquet at the I O O F hall,
when the parents of the high
school students, students, and
faculty were entertained by the
high school and the P-TA. The
rooms were decorated In the Last
Round -Up theme, with clever
little animals, covered wagons,
adorning the centers of the table.
The menu also in the Round-Up
theme, was Bull Dogger's (fruit
cup) Little Doggie (chicken)
Tumbleweeds (corn) Cow pun
cher potato (mashed potatoes)
and cactus salad (tossed green

Following the banquet a
Sweetheart Ball was given in the
trvm with the Last Round-Urj
theme being carried out. The
room was decorated with yellow
varinatpd streamers and waeon
wheels with vellow bulbs. The
orchestra stand was made of blue
crepe paper with silver stars, and
the registration booth was made
tn resemble a bunk house and
was also the hat and coat check
room. The main thing of attrac
tion was an old fashioned bar
with fancv bottles filled with
colored water, and barrel of root
beer and pretzels were served.
