report of a board meeting at the
home of Mrs Barbara Sckorney
in Portland. The district council
meeting was tentatively set for
March 22 In Wallowa. The group
voted to send $10 to the gavels
and $7.50 to the district fund.
Mrs Charles Doherty gave the
educational program on "Whats
New in Fashions."
The Morrow County Grain
Growers will furnish pens for the
international convention in Port
land to represent Beta Omega
chapter.

At Gribble Home
The What's Trumps bridge
club met at the home of Mrs
Lowell Gribble last Wednesday
afternoon for a salad luncheon.

Sans Souci Rebekahs
Hold Initiation
At Friday Meeting
The regular Sans Souci Re
bekah meeting was held Friday,
Feb 6, with the regular Noble
Grand, Mrs Gerald Rood presid-
ng.
Forty one members were pres
ent and sixteen out of town vis-
tiors attended. Hardman, Lexing
ton, Grass Valley, The Dalles,
and Stanfield were represented,
Draping of the charter was
held for a departed member, Mrs
Lennie Louden.
A silver cake serving set was
presented to the lodge by past
Noble Grand, Mrs Clarence Bau
man in memory of Mrs Louden.
Initiation was held and Mrs
Freida Slocum of Hardman was
initiated for Mistletoe and Mrs
William Heath of Heppner was
initiated for Sans Souci.
Visitations by several mem
bers of Sans Souci were made
to Hardman Tuesday and to lone
Thnrsrtnv for lone initiation.
A eift was presented to the dis
trict deputy president, Mrs Merle
Kirk, Past Noble urana, Mrs
Clarence Bauman.
There was a report on Great
Decisions meeting, attended by
Noble Grand, Mrs Rood and Vice
Grand, Mrs Glen McLachlan and
committees were appointed for
balance of the year. One trustee,
Mrs N D Bailey, elected to a three
year term, replaces Mrs Pearl
Devine.
Plans were completed for the
card party on Valentine's Day
(evening).
The next meeting will be held,
Feb 20. Refreshments were ser
ved by Mrs Rufus Piper, Mrs
Clarence Bauman, Mrs Glen Mc
Lachlan Mrs Archie Padberg.
Mrs R G McMurtry was re
freshment chairman. Pies were
furnished by members and visitors.

Mistletoe Rebekah lodge no 25
met Tuesday afternoon with Ida
Lee Brisbois, noble grand pre
siding. Members of the lodge served
the banquet for the Livestock
Association on January 18 and
it was decided to have the newly
purchased electric heaters install
ed at once.
It was voted to give two show

The King's Little Queens
bridge club met Thursday night
at the home of Mrs Harry O'
Donnell Jr. Mrs Clint McQuarrie
was co-hostess. Those attending

ney, Harry Bongers, Bill Glennie,
Paul Koenig, Herb Hamilton, Jer

Mrs Wyman won high for the
evening and also Jack high, Mrs
Elakney won second high, and
Mrs Dagett won low.
Counsellors Hold
Practice Cook-Out
The Pathfinder counsellors had
a practice breakfast cookout Sun
day morning at Cutsforth Park.
The purpose of the outing was
for testing certain recipes for
outdoor cooking preparatory to
taking Individual club units for
cook-outs.

Mr and Mrs Irvin Rauch in Lex
ington, honoring Mrs Rauch and
her brother, Mr Louis Penney of
Kennewick, Wash.
