According to secretary-manager of grange insurance, Jack Haun, more than $3600 has been refunded from auto insurance premiums for the year 1952. This went to members of three Morrow county granges. $800 was refun ded in hail insurance. Tom Esteb and son, Tommy, of Goldendale, Wash were visit ors at the Sam Esteb home last week. Pvt Billie Seehafer, who is with the WACS, has been transferred to Sam Huston, Texas. Feb 3 City council meeting at 8 PM. Feb 4 Eastern Star Social club meeting at the home of Mrs Millard Nolan with a lunch eon at 12:30 p m. Each mem ber to bring material for ap ron. Feb 5 Extension unit meeting at the home of Mrs James Pettyjohn. An all day meet ing with sack lunch at noon. Desserts and coffee will be furnished. The subject is on Oregon Wheat products. Any one is welcome to attend the meeting. Mr and Mrs Ralph Crum and daughter, Kathy, spent Thurs day in The Dalles where they visited her grandmother, Mrs Fred Stuart, who is ill. John Rietmann, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Rietmann, recently underwent a tonsillectomy at the Pioneer Memorial hospital. Mrs E R Swart was a patient in the Pioneer Memorial hospital last week. Mr and Mrs Garry Tullis en tertained at a birthday party Sunday, Jan 25 in honor of their son, Mark's 8th birthday. Re freshments were served at the Tullis home and the party was taken to the show in Heppner afterwards. Guests present were, Ronnie Palmateer, Earl James Pettyjohn, Paul John Proudfoot, Frank Halvorsen, Jim Swanson, Tom McElligott. Mr and Mrs C C Crumb of M6rton, Wash spent the weekend with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs Noel Dobyns. Mr Crumb left Monday for Mor ton but Mrs Crumb remained for a longer visit. Mr and Mrs Ray Turner and sons of Pendleton spent the week end with relatives here. Harold Holtz, a student at Multnomah college in Portland, spent the weekend with his par ents, Mr and Mrs Clarence Holtz. Girls from lone attending the Rainbow installation in Heppner Sunday afternoon were Michelle, Cherlye and Merrie Jo Morrison, Sandra Eubanks, Linda Halvor sen, Katherine Rea and Dalene McDonald.
