At the business meeting con
ducted by Mrs Dixon Smith, pres
ident, the roll call was answered

Veteran's Day was observed
here with a program at the Mem
orial athletic field. Judge Oscar
Peterson gave the address. He re
viewed the history of World War
II and the Korean war. Rev Floyd
Bailey gave the prayer and bene
diction, the school band played
the Star Spangled Banner and
other numbers and members of
the post were the color bearers.
Mr and Mrs Gordon White re
turned from a trip Sunday even

last week. Mr and Mrs Giddens
both died the same day, Nov 6.
She was the former Ruth Bew
ley and was a cousin of Mrs
Engleman, Mrs Swanson, Mrs
Edith Nichoson and G A Pet
teys. They were former residents
here.
Officers Installed

missions and migratory workers.
