E. Broyles of this notice, exolusive of the day of said first publication, and any and all persons interested in any of the real property in cluded in said foreclosure list are hereby required to file an answer and defense, if any there be, or if any they have, to such application for judgement and decree within thirty days af ter the date of the first publi cation of this notice, exclusive of the day of the first publicat ion of this summons, which date is the 15th day of May, 1958. This notice Is published in j Settle E. Davis Heppner Gazette Times, a news paper of general circulation, pub lished in said County, by auth ority of an order of the County Court of Morrow County Oregon, and designated In such order of the County Couft of Morrow County, Oregon, as the news paper in which said notice is to be published, which order is dat ed the 7th day of May, 1958. That the delinquent list for the year 1958, which application is made to foreclose, is as follows: co James L. Davis Over The Tee Cup By Jackie Labhart Well it finally happened. . . one of the fairer sex finally con quered the invincible thirtys; and a happier person I have nev er seen than i;ee Gribble when she shot 38 Friday. She even beat the two men in her three some, they shall remain unamed, but at present they are with Dee and Donna McCurdy, and prob ably entered in the state Elks golf tournament in Roseburg as you read this . . John Williams and Del Jordan are alse playing in this tournament, so the Hepp ner Elks should be well repre sented. For the first time in her life, Marie McQuarrie broke the fif tys barrier and shot a 48 ladies day to win a new golf ball for low gross score for the day. Polly Doherty was closest to the pin with her drive on No 1 and also won a prize. Sue Valentine had the lowest number of strokes (4) on the hidden hole, which was No 9. (She was pretty sly about it tho for her drive went into the bank on the right, hit a well placed rock and ricochet ed right up the middle of the fairway). OVERHEARD LADIES DAY . . . that Kay Robinson rode her son's bicycle down to the course, (but she shipped her clubs by auto mobile) .... Bonnie Mattoon saying, "I hear every one has a good day of golf sometime, but I'm still looking for mine." . . . that Gene Case is going to in vent some kind of harness to hold her head down when she is making her shots . . . that Cork Norene is one of the best lost ball retrievers on the course. Wednesday, June 11, the la dies of Willow Creek Country club have been invited to Kin zua for lunch and an afternoon of golf. All interested women are asked to contact Shirley Loyd by Saturday, June 7. For all forthcoming ladies days, tee off time will be be tween 8 and 9 o'clock and in structions for the day's play will be posted on the bulletin board. (So tee of as soon as you arrive on the course and this will speed up the mornings play . . .we hope.) Hazel Mahoney and Cathy Col lins are the two finalists in the womens handicap tournament, and the tournament awards will be made next ladies day so all women golfers plan to attend. "ODD SHOTS" . . .' I was told that Sunday the Dowens, Valen tines and Loyds played a round of golf as kind of a fairwell game with the Dowens. But I understand that none of them "faired to well" due to previous activities before the game. I saw Raymond Ferguson on the course for the first time Saturday witn Coramae, Phil and Bob Mahoney. (Guess he figured "if you can't fight 'em, join 'em.) I wonder if Ruth Van Winkle (who is flying to Alaska with her hus band Jack this weekend) has made up her mind whether to take her golf clubs or clothing for her required amount of lug gage weight I am going to put the tee cup oil the shelf for a few days while the family and I endeavor to play some golf on other courses throughout the state, so until we return the golfing news will be written by Marie McQuarrie and with no tea leaves to read, her news will be strictly factual. lone News Anne Belle Coleman is visiting her sister and family, Mr and Mrs Dick Ekstrom in La Grande. Evelyn Jepsen was hostess at a surprise birthday party in hon or of Jean Martin at the home of Mr and Mrs Robert Jepsen Friday evening, May 30. The guests were members of the freshman class. Members of the Community church choir were entertained at the. home of Mr and Mrs Roy Lindstrom Monday evening of last week with Mrs Floyd Bailey and Mrs Lindstrom as hostesses. Joe Hausler, Mrs Bill Rietmann and Mrs E M Baker were pre sented with gifts in appreciation of the work they had done for the choir. Games were played and refreshments were served.
