Married Thursday
Mrs Norma Jean Geyer, dau
ghter of Rev and Mrs Willis Gey
er, and Duane Alderman, son of
Mr and Mrs Archie Alderman,
were married Thursday evening
at the Assembly of God church
with the bride's father officiating
at the ceremony.
The bride was dressed in a
yellow ballerina length dress and
wore a flowered bandeau hat of
yellow roses and forget-me-nots
and white accessories. She carr
ied white daisies on a white
Bible and the church was decor
ated with yellow forsythia and
pink blossoms.
Miss Diane Geyer, dressed in
pink, was maid of honor for her
sister and Eddie Grosliens serv
ed as best man.
Members of the immediate
families were present.
After a short wedding trip the
couple is at home in Heppner
where they will complete their
studies at Heppner high school.

a luncheon at the Elks club
and later bridge was played at
the Rosewall home.

Huffman of Memphis, Tenn, were
united in marriage Saturday
afternoon at the home of J O
Hager with Mr Hager officiating
at the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white knit
dress with white accessories and
a pink carnation corsage.
Members of the family were
present for the ceremony and a
reception was held later at the
home of the bride's sister and
brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs Ron
ald Haguewood.
Mrs- Ava Wright, grandmoth
er of the bride, poured and the
bride's mother cut the wedding
cake, which had been made by
Mrs Haguewood. Pink and white
flowers were used throughout
the rooms. Deanne Wright, sis
ter of the bride, had charge of
the guest book.
The bride will complete her
senior year at Heppner high
school and then the couple will
reside in Condon where the
groom is stationed at the Air
Base.
Sans Souci Rebekahs
Plan For Initiation
The regular meeting of Sans
Souci Rebekah lodge was held
Friday, March 21 at the IOOF
hall.
Twenty one members and offi
cers attended the meeting. One
application for membership by
initiation was read for the first
time and balloting was held on
two other applications.
Plans for initiation of a large
class of candidates was discuss
ed and initiation will be held
April 18.
Next initiation practice will be
March 31 at 7:30 pm.

The Quin Oookerottes met
at the home of Marilyn Morgan,
March 19, at 3:30 pm. Marilyn
served delicious refreshments as
soon as all the girls arrived.
After we finished eating, we dis
cussed and worked on our perm
anent record books.
Our meeting was called to or
der by Marilyn. Mardine Baker
read a letter consisting of our
nominating a father for "Father
of the Year". We held some dis
cussion on this subject and de
cided to nominate anyone we
thought worthy of this honor. As
there was no further business,
our meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be Ap
ril 3, at the home of Dianne
Pettyjohn. We had two vistiors,
Peggy and Susan Vooihees of
Portland, Oregon.
