Mr and Mrs Verner Troedson returned home last week from a weeks trip to California. They attended the NCAA basketball tournament in San Francisco and visited relatives in San Jose. Mrs Ernest Heliker was rec ommended as a candidate for the degree of chivalry at the Bunchgrass Rebekah lodge meet ing Thursday evening, March 20. This degree will be given at the Rebekah Assembly in Corvallis in May. Mrs Heliker has been an active member in the Rebek ah lodge for the past 35 years and is the present noble grand and also held that office 32 years ago. She was on the county Wel fare board for many years. Also is very active in other commun ity activities. During a recess of the lodge meeting, Linda Heim bigner gave her United Nations Youth Pilgrimage speech. Re freshments were served after the meeting.
