Mrs Arthur Al len was in charge of the follow ing program: Group singing, "Love's Old Sweet Song" and "Annie Laurie", led by Mrs Kol lln Bishop; duet, Mrs Nathan Thorpe and Mrs Zearl Gillespie, singing comedy parodies; quest Ion and answer game; berry guessing game, with Mrs fir,A rnnto wlnnlne the viauu , prize. Mr and Mrs Jay Cox of Kent, Wash and Mr and Mrs Bernice Cox of Lyle, Wash visited at the home of Mr and Mrs Claud Coats Friday. Mr and Mrs Larry Carpenter are the Barents of a son. born Feb 20 in Seattle, Wash. He has been named Lyle LaVern. Mrs Simon is Gillesples ninpp. The Simon's visited here at the Gillespies home about a year and a half ago. Mr and Mrs Douglas Califf and children Dannie and Cindy of Troutlake. Mr and Mrs Don Gibbs and children Marvin, Linda and Jerry Lilian Turner Foundation Names New Officers By DELPHA JONES The Lilian C Turner Foundat ion had a sriecial meeting at the school auditorium on Wednesday evening to decide whether to continue with the organization as Is or change some parts of it. It was decided to continue and try and work up more interest in it. At this time Gene Cutsforth was elected a director and Pine Thorn- burg to fill out an unexpired tprm. with the general election May 10 at the regular meeting. It was decided to have a pot luck dinner and regular meeting, and program at the May 10 meet ing. The acting chairman, Mrs Roy Martin appointed Mrs Jim Bloodsworth chairman of the re freshments, and Mrs Cecil Jones the program committee. Gene Cutsforth was elected chairman of the foundation.
