OES Social Club Meets Saturday Afternoon The Social club of Ruth chapt er no 32. OES met Saturday af ternoon at the Masonic temple with five tables of cards in play. Held in lone Recently Several coffee hours for the benefit of the March of Dimes have been held in lone recently. On Monday of last week Mrs Charles Carlson, with Mrs Roland Bergstrom and Mrs Robert Pet erson as co-hostesses, entertain ed Mr and Mrs Leonard Carlson, Mrs William Rawlins, Mrs Oscar Peterson, Mrs Cecil Lutkins and Mrs William Bergstrom. Mrs Raymond Lundell enter tained the following on Tuesday morning, Mrs Keith Rea, Mrs Art j Warren, Mrs Art Dalzell, Mrs iJimmie Pettyjohn, Mrs William Bergstrom and Mrs Roland Berg strom. Wednesday morning Mrs Elmer Holtz was hostess to the follow ing guests, Mrs Roy Lindstrom and daughter, Mrs Ruby Nichols, Mrs Omar Rietmann, Mrs Kath ryn Yarnell, Mrs Roger Kincaid and children and Mrs Delmer 'Crawford and daughters. Mrs Clyde Crawford held her coffee hour on Thursday after noon with Mrs Richard Donald as co-hostess. The guests were Mrs Eldon Tucker, Mrs Delia Cor son, Mrs Ray Barnett and Mrs Fannie Griffith. The Lewis Halvorson home was the scene of another coffee hour on Thursday, when Mrs Halvor son and Mrs C E Brenner enter tained Mrs Frank Ely, Mrs James Lindsay, Mrs Phil Emert, Mrs Delbert Emert, Mrs Cecil Thome and Mrs Garland Swanson. Mrs O L Lundell also enter tained on Thursday with guests being Mrs Walter Dobyns, Mrs Mary Swanson, Mrs Charles O' Connor, Mrs Adon Hamlett, Mrs Fredrick Martin, Mrs Arvula Swanson and Mrs Elbe Akers. Mrs Terrel Benge and Mrs Geo rge Snider assisted witn tne lunch at the March of Dimes shoot in Heppner Sunday of last week. Mrs Franklin Lindstrom, Mrs Walter Corley and Mrs Joe Haus- ler solicited for the March of Dimes. Other coffee hours will be giv en later. Mrs Gordon White is the chair man of the March of Dimes cof fee hours in the lone community. Ground Observer Meet Held Recently At Heath Home The regular monthly meeting of the Ground Observer Corp was j held at the home of Mrs William i Heath. Don Hatfield, chairman of the Morrow county Republicans talk ed to the social economies class Tuesday. He told of differences in parties, election procedures, and how the parties work. Wednesday, Al Lamb, who is chairman for the Democratics en tertained the class with much the same topics. As a conclusion, everyone agreed that there isn't enough participation by the citi zens even in such small but mighty important school elect ions. People do not seem to rea lize just what their obligation to the US is. or the importance of these doings. All were very glad to learn of the ways of both part ies and the obligations they will be facing in the near future. High school students would like to comment on the yelling response and cheerleaders of Con don Saturday evening. Much var iety was shown and it was es pecially outstanding, due to the fact that they were at an away game.
