Lexington School
Announces Staff

Lexington Public schools will
start on Sept 3. At that time the
following teachers will be In at
tendance: Mrs. Alyce Waddill,
first and second, returning; Mrs.
Juanita Carmlchael, 3rd and 4th,
returning; Mrs. Inez Meador, 5th
and 6th, returning; and Fred
Frledrich who comes from Port
land where he is a graduate of
Lewis and Clark to teach 7th
and 8th. Returning to high school
is Dale Waddill as principal, Mrs.
Bill Weatherford of Heppner for
math and typing, and Bob Math
ews as coach, with Miss Betty
Oberst coming from Oregon, as
the English and girls P.E. teach
er. This completes the teaching
staff. Mrs. Wm. J. VanWlnkle and
Mrs. Ken Marshall are returning
as the cooks and Leonard Munk
ers as custodian.
Mrs. Jack Mounts and son,
Stevle are visiting with her par
ents. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Majeske,
Mr. and M"rs Harvey Wright
and Mrs. A. F. Majeske were vis
itors in Eugene last weekend
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Campbell
and Mr. and Mrs. William Van
Winkle are spending some time
in Northern Idaho.
Mrs. Bert Darnlelle and child
ren were visitors In The Dalles
over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Hatfield and
children are vacationing at the
coast. In their absence the store
is being cared for by David Hat
field and Mrs. Leonard Munkers.
George Graves of Ephrata,
Wash, was a visitor at the home
of his sister, Mrs. Leonard Munk
ers, last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Jones and
children and Vanessa Hemery
were visitors In La Grande on
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Nichols
were visitors in Pendleton one
day last week.

land, Calif, were visitors last

for the coming year were ap
pointed and the teacher's recep
tion was planned with a tenta
tive date set for the first Friday
in Sept. Refreshments were serv

June Cooper, Mrs. Lavonne Blood

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Martin and
family have returned after an
extended visit to Southern Cali
fornia and Disneyland.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kilkenny and
family and Pat Steagall have re
turned from a trip to California.
Bobby Davidson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Davidson Is a patient
In Pioneer Memorial hospital
where he underwent an append
ectomy one day last week.

morial hospital there. Sunday

by Mrs. R. A. Eades, went to Pas
co to visit at the home of Mrs.
Eades' son-in-law and daughter
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Woolley.
Eileen Ely remained there to visit
this week.
The Homo Economics club of
Greenfield grange met Wednes
day of last week at the home of
Mrs. Clyde Tannehill, starting
with lunch at 12:30 p.m. Co-hostesses
were Mrs. Florence Root and
Mrs. Roy Ball. There were 11
