returned home Sunday from a
trip to West Linn where they
visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
A. T. Martin and other relatives.
Mrs. A. T. Martin has been very
ill. They also visited her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Horton
in Dallas. They attended the
legislature in Salem on Friday.
Mrs. Ernest McCabe entertained
the Bridge club at her home Fri
day evening March 15. Those
winning prizes were: Mrs. Ray
Boyce, high; Mrs. Walter Corley,
second; high and Mrs. Robert De
Spain, low.
Mrs. Harold Dobyns recently
spent 8 days in Portland where
she visited her sons and their
families, Lt. JG and Mrs. Russell
Holly and children and Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Holly and children.

Truman Cannon of Portland
visited at the home of his bro

had met with the city council
and asked for help in the city
park. The council was willing
to cooperate with the club in a
clean up and in maintaining the
park.
The club gave $5 to the essay
and poster contest for children in
the Blue Mountain district. Mrs.
William Rawlins is the chairman.

ing Wednesday evening March
13, Robert Hoskins presented two
trophies received from the bas
ketball games. One was for
second place in the district and
one for second place in the state.
Hoskins was manager of the
team sponsored bv the Leeion.

their hall. Some of the members
will attend the mass initiation
in Pendleton March 23.

The Maranatha club met at the
home of Mrs. Earl Mckinney Wed

made for the buffet supper March
24 after the installation of Rev.
Floyd S. Bailey, at the Commun
ity church which is held at 5

breakfast to be held in the church
parlors after the Easter sunrise
services. May 5 was set for the
Mothers and Daughters tea to
be given in the church parlors.
