This was a kitchen shower for the church kitchen, the devotionals which was on the internal and external love of Christ. Several gifts were re ceived and later refreshments were served. They won from Umatilla here Friday evening of last week and from Irrigon there Saturday evening. They will play Boardman there Tuesday evening and Echo here Friday evening. The grade school will play Boardman there Tuesday afternoon and will play Echo here Friday afternoon. The 8th grade and their teach er, Don Brostrom, were entertain ed at a Valentine party at the Garland Swanson home Satur day evening. Their room mother, Mrs. Milton Morgan and Mrs. Garland Swanson assisted with the party. A scavenger hunt was held also dancing and refresh ments were enjoyed. "Theg'ils' volleyball team lost to Hermiston there last week but won from Heppner here Wednes day evening of last week. MONUMENT Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin left February 17 for Salem on busi ness and also for a medical checkup. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Settle of Long Creek visited here Thurs day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Settle. Maynard Hamilton left Sun day evening for John Day where he will work.
