Leta Humphreys Tells Soroptimists Of Club Conventions At the Soroptimist club lunch pnn Thursday nt O'Dnnnpll's. Miss Leta Humpnreys gave ner report on the Federation and the Inter national Soroptimist conventions held in New York City the last of July and the first of August. Miss Humphreys was the dele gate from this club and gave a most comprehensive report. She brought souveniers for all the club members. The next meeting of the club which will be November 29, she will show some of the many pic tures she took on the trip, o Bookworms Meet at Dinges Home Tuesday Th Bookworms met at the home of Mrs. Harry Dinges Tues day evening of last week and heard Mrs. W. Cornett Green and Mrs. Lucy Peterson, o 125 Attend Union : Missionary Meeting The Union Missionary Society met Sunday, November 11th at Valby Lutheran church with 125 in attendance. Valby chifrch women served dinner at one o'clock preceding the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carty, Christian church missionaries showed pictures of their trip around the world. The boy and girl of the month was stated to have been chosen for personality but it should have been friendliness. Jim Morris and, Ed Groshen traveled with Mr .and Mrs. Kirk to Corvallis to attend the F. B. L. A. executive meeting. They left last Saturday morning and re turned the following night. On November 16 Francine Fran, cis, Jim Morris and Ed Groshen journeyed to Stanfield to help dis cuss the sportsmanship trophies to be awarded at the end of bas ketball season to one of the teams in the 7B league.
