Also rejected was a proposal to place a tax on cutting of timber on any land passing from the government to private hands. This would include mineral-pat ented land and Indian lands that pass to private owners. Another proposal was for an annual two percent excise tax on trailers used as homes. Lexington News By Delpha Jones Mrs. B. J. Doherty and Mrs. Oletta VVardwell are organizing a 4 H chicken and rabbit club. The first regular meeting will be held Friday evening after school at the Doherty ranch. Any young, sters interested should contact Mrs. Doherty. Holly Rebekah lodge enter tained the high school and the 7th and 8th grades at a party Saturday night. They played games and danced and refresh ments of sandwiches, potato salad, coffee and punch were ser ved. The party was held from 8 p. m. to midnight and there were 42 present.
