Bristow, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Morgan and child ren and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Petty john and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rietmann. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pryse are the parents of a son born August 17. Mr. Pryse is the coach in the lone schools. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Esteb of Morgan are the parents of a daughter born August 23 at the Pioneer Memorial hospital in Heppner. Ernest Heliker and Ed Buschke spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Ransier at Unity. Bob Stewart of Cheyenne, Wyo., is visiting at the Gus Jannsen home. Kieth Roundy who has been working at the Clara Kincaid ranch, returned to his home in Kennewick, Wash, last week. Louis Padberg and Mrs. Ruby Nichols and son Lyle Kicnaid, went to Portland last week. Lyle will visit friends there before re turning to the blind school in Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heimbigner returned home Sunday evening from Portland where they spent a few days. They also attended the water show in Oswego. He received a fractured pelvis bone in a pickup accident this summer but is getting along satisfactorily. He would appreci ate a visit from his friends while in the hospital. . Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dixon and children of Portland met Bernita and Tommy Harris at Arlington one day last week and took them to the Fletcher home in Yakima. Mr. Dixon took his children, Roy and Rick and the Harris children on a camping trip. Mr. and Mrs. "Doc" Holboke of Hillsboro and Tommy Este"b and sons of Goldendale, Wash, were visitors last week at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Esteb. Mrs. Fannie Griffith is visiting relatives in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dobyns and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dobyns were recent visitors at Wallowa Lake. Mrs. Hershal Townsend had the misfortune to break her toe one day last week. Mrs. 0. L. Lundoll and Paul O'Meara are both home from the hospital. Mrs. Gordon White and son Gerry, returned home from Port land Saturday of last week. They were accompanied by Mrs.- F. J. Burocher of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lundell and family of Portland were re cent visitors at the home of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Algott Lundell. Their son, Jim, re mained for a longer visit with his grandparents. Dates to remember: Sept. 4 Opening of the lone schools. Mrs. Roger Kincaid, president hopes for a large mem bership this year. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Murphy of Pasco, Wash., visited Mrs. Grace Ware Saturday of last week. Mrs. Delia Corson returned last week from Portland and Seattle. She was accompanied by her niece, Mrs. Florence Swanson of Portland. Mrs. Elmo McMillan of Salem and Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Ramsey of Portland spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Mary Swan son. Mrs. McMillan is the daugh ter and Mrs. Ramsey is a grand daughter of Mrs. Swanson. Those from here who attended the Morrow County picnic in Laurelhurst park in Portland on Sunday were Mrs. Olive Engle man, Mrs. Arvilla Swanson and Johan Troedson and son Carl. Claude Brashers of Lyle, Wash., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ray. They all spent Saturday in Condon. Mr. Brash ers is recovering from an acci dent that he received recently when a horse fell on him. He received a fractured jaw and many bruises. Mr. and Mrs. Tom West of Portland are visiting relatives here. Mrs. West is the former Margaret Bristow. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ingalls of Adams and Mr. and Mrs. James McCabe and family of Heppner spent Sunday with A. A. McCabe. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Wade and daughters of Walla Walla spent Sunday at the David Riet mann home. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bergstrom have moved into their new home on Main street. Mrs. Hattie Crabtree and her great-grandchildren, Wanda Jean and Gordon Hoffman of Salem are visiting at the Lewis Halvor sen home. Lois Ring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ring of Pendleton, is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ring. Mr. and Mrs. John Martin and children May, Eudora, Carol and Eddy of Maupin and Judy Gre gory of Madras visited ath the home of his brother and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Mar tin this week. Arlie Padberg is staying with his mother, Mrs. Lana Padberg. Henry Clark returned to Ord nance last week to stay with his son, Lowell Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Tucker and daughters visited his mother. Mrs. Archie Padberg and other relatives in Heppner Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rietmann and son John, attended the Shrine game in Pendleton Sat urday evening and visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Anson in Hermiston over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKinney are the parents of a son born Aug. 26 at Pioneer Memorial hos pital. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. Mrs. Allie Ruggles of Grass Val ley and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cole of Wasco are the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Corlcy and daughter spent the weekend in Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. David McLeod and children returned Monday from a visit with relatives in Junction City and the coast. Judy Eubanks, who has been spending the summer with her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brenner, went back to her home In Monmouth last week.
