They visited Mrs. Crabtree's mother, Mrs. Blanche Scheelar in Salem Mr. and Mrs. Peoples and daughter and Mrs. Aley Peck and daughter, Patricia of Lebanon spent the weekend at the Mrs. Mabel Cotter home and the Ed Buschke home. Wayne Hams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vester Hams, is a patient in the John Day hospital. He re ceived a broken pelvis bone in a pickup accident at Ritter last week. Mrs. Delmer Crawford enter tained the Bridge club at her home Friday evening of last week. Those receiving prizes were Mrs. Walter Corley, high; Mrs. La Verne Van Marter, se cond high and Mrs. Ray Boyce, the door prize. Recent visitors at the Dale Ray home were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Myers and three children of White Salmon, Wash., and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Downing daughters, Dianne and Teresa of Walla Walla. Dianne and Ter esa remained for a longer visit. Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Downing are granddaughters of the Rays. Miss Janet Hanson of Portland and Charles White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon White of lone, were married in Vancouver, Wn., Aug. 2. They are making their home in Portland. They visited at the Gordon White home over the Weekend. Visitors last week at the Her bert Ekstrom home were his bro ther and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Ekstrom of Warrenton. Jimmy Alplanalp of Beaverton is working for his uncle, Herbert Ekstrom during harvest. Miss Jan Lowe of La Grande is j a guest at the Gordon White home. Mr. and Mrs. Tad Hardesty and children of Eugene are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dobyns. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Watson and family have moved into the house vacated by the La Verne Hams in the lower part of town.
