Hepprrer Gazette Times, Thursday, Juns 21, 1956 77 Attend Vacation School at Boardman By Mary Lee Marlow Vacation Bible school at the Community church ended last Friday with the children present ing a program i" the evening. The school had an enrollment of 77, with average attendance of 64. Program was as follows: Flag salute, song "God Bless America" by everyone; welcome song by the junior class; theme song by the school; recitations by the beginners, and songs by the be ginners and primary class; Pri mary recitations; song, "Jesus, Wonderful Friend", bv Judy and Betty Jo Walker, Sandra Thorpe, and Gwennie Fussell; Hannei hoard storv bv the juniors, "God's Family"; songs by the juniors and intermediates; recitations by intermediates; song by Barbara Anderegg, Donna Watts, Wanda Hug and Rosina Jones. Hug replaces Henry Zivney. whose term expired this year. , Greenfield grange met Satur day night at the hall at 8 p. m. with 18 members present. Hosts were Mr. ad Mrs. Elvin Ely, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marlow and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ferguson. Mrs. Arthur Allen, delegate to state grange, gave a report on the meetings she attended. Arthur Allen gave a report on the meet ing of insurance agents at the state session. Mrs. Ralph SkourJb reported that the soil conserva tion tour would be held some time in July, starting at Irrigon. Lunch will be served at the Skoubo farm at noon. Exact date will be announced later. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Miller and son Jim went to Corbett Sun day to take Mrs. Effie Miller to visit her son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baker, for a week. They returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Max Vannoy and four children left Saturday for Sacramento, Calif., to visit rela tives for several days. ' Roberta Phillips, The Dalles, has been visiting her grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miller, the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Eades, Sun land, Calif., and Mrs. Eades' par ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Maheu, West Palm Beach, Fla., were visitors last week at the home of Eades parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Eades. Sandra Mead, The Dalles, visi ted last week at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Mead. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Partlow and son Jerry, The Dalles, were weekend visitors at the home of Partlow's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Partlow. Judy , and Alan Partlow returned home with them after visiting here the past two weeks. Greg Knopp Milton -Freewater, visited at the home of Dennis Gronquist, and at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Joe Tatone. the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Beeks, Arl ington, were weekend guests at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey West. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Van Etten and daughter, of Monroe, stop ped in Boardman Sunday to visit friends. Don Shanks, Pendleton, former resident here, visited Mr. and Mrs. Gunnar Skoubo over the weekend. Visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tatone were Mr. and Mrs. Fern Todd (Lor raine Dillabaugh), Salem, and Tatone's sister, Mrs. James Flynn of Washington, D. C. On Wednes day Mr. and Mrs. Tatone took Mrs, Flynn to Portland to visit other relatives. She also visited relatives in Arlington, Milton- Freewater and Seattle, Wash. Sandra Knopp, Milton-Freewater, accompanied them to Portland. Mrs. Rose LaChance, and Miss Eva LaChance, Tacoma, Wash., are visiting this week at the home of Mrs. LaChance's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carpenter. o Oliver Creswick, worshipful master of the Heppner Masonic lodge No. 69 attended grand lodge in Portland last week.
