Lex Club Meets Saturday

The Amlcitia Club met at the
Jim Bloodsworth ranch on batur
day night, with 10 couples pre
sent. The evennig was spent in
playing pinochle, with the fol

roll motored to Lexington over
the weekend from Mitchell, aiier
his wife Leita who has been
staying at the Bill B. Marquardt
ranch and at the T. E. Messengei,
Jr. home in Hermiston.
The business meeting of tne
Lexington Christian and Congre
gational Sunday scnools was
held last Thursday night. The
meeting was called to order by
the acting chairman Norman
NnrthruD. A report of the daily
vacation Bible school was given.
New business was taken care 01
and the meeting was turned over
to the chairman of the church
board, Karl Miller. Regular busi
ness was taken care of and the
meeting adjourned with a prayer.

their home on Tuesday evening
with the occasion being Mrs. E.
MrFadden's birthday. High

and Clarice McFadden. A lovely
decorated cake for the occasion
was served with ice cream and
coffee to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bloods
worth, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Jones,
Mrs. Bertha Hunt and son, Don
ald and. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hunt.
Mrs. A. F. Majecke and Mrs.
W. E. McMillan attended tne Ke-
bekah lodge meeting at Hard-
man on Tuesday.
The women's fellowship group
nf the church met on Tuesday
afternoon at the church.The meet
ing was called to order by the
irp nresident. Jo irvin. ine
minutes were read and approved
and the devotionals given by
Delpha Jones. The new business
was preparing a box of clothing
for the Indian mission at wapaio,
Washington under John Runyon.
The clothing was sorted and
packed, and will be sent soon.
There is to be a mending day at
the Cecil Jones home next Tues
day afternoon, and any one wlsh-
na in inm is invited to attend

this cause may leave them either

Charles Ely left for his home

James Lindsay, who recently
underwent surgery in Portland is
convalescing at the home of rela
tives there.

home near Echo over the week
end took care' of their grand
daughter, Tara, while the Harlan
Crawfords went to Spokane.
Larry Ritchie of Portland was
a visitor here last week.
