Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holtz and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Holtz and daughter, Kathy attended the wedding of Miss Bonnie Deyo Robert Johnson at Sunnyside, Wash., Friday June 8. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holtz went on to Tacoma to visit their son-in-law and "daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kirkelie. Weekend guests at the Omar Rietmann home were; David Dooling and Jerry Johannes of Belvidere, 111. They are Oregon State students and came home with Larry Rietmann. David Doo ling played in the Rietmann or chestra at the Legion dance on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Robert DeSpain and son Bobby Lee, left Tuesday for Portland where Mr. DeSpain will attend the Masonic Grand lodge convention. They will also visit Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ellis in Vale during their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Newltt left Friday for Sunset Valley where he will be the superintendent of scnoois there the coming year. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Woodroof, superintendent of lone schools have moved their household goods into the Kincaid house left for Monmouth where he will attend summer school. He will be here over weekends. Martin Named To Council Fredrick Martin was chosen as councilman at a meeting of the city council Juno 5 to fill the unexpired term of Merle Baker, who moved to Portland. The cut re quired several stitches. Mrs. Earl Wrieht of Baker has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Ida Grabill. and other relatives for the past week.
