Miss Humphreys took pictures or eacn gin and her mother and tlie pictures were given the girls ior their scrap books. o lone Sorority Holds Annual Banquet At Hermiston Elks The Beta Omega chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha held their annual oanquet at the Elks Tern- pie in Hermiston on Wednesday May ltj. Mrs. Pat Dohertv was chair man of the evening and twenty nine members and husbands were present. The pledge ceermony was held in the lodge room. Those pledg ing the sorority were Mrs. Arthur Crawford and Mrs. Bill Rietmann. Following the ceremony Mrs. Robert Peterson, Mrs. Carl Mar- quardt and Mrs. Don Linnell re ceived the ritual of jewels com pleting six months of pledge training. The ritual table was decorated in blue and gold with bronze candle holders and yellow candles and yellow Iris. The 1956-57 officers were In stalled. Those helping were Earl Mor gan, Ed Buschke, Bill Rietmann, Walter Corley, Ted Palmateer, Corliss McLeod, Bob Rietmann, Don Peterson, Pat Doherty, Art Warren, Don Heliker, Elmer Ball, Carl Schultz, L. E. Leathers, Dave McLeod and Vic Rietmann. The Eeta Omega chapter of Ep silon Sigma Alpha furnished a potluck dinner at noon at the grange hall. Rainbow Girls Assist In Instituting New Umatilla Assembly Twenty four girls, members of Ruth Assembly No. 50, Rainbow for Girls were in Umatilla Sun day morning to help institute a new Assembly there. The Heppner group put on the opening and closing work, es corting of grand officers and ini tiated 40 girls. Luncheon was -served at noon after which the grand officers di the installing with Lucille Day ball, Portland, grand worthy ad visor as installing officer. The girls were accompanied bv Mr. and Mrs. Harold Becket, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Keithley, Mrs. Claude Graham, Mrs. Dick Wil kinson, Mrs. Roy Quackenbush, and Mrs. James Thomson. Seafood cocktails werp served as first course at the James Mon- ahan home, the soup course was at the home of Nancy Anderson, salad at the home of Sharon Brv- ant, the main course at Virginia Gonty's home and dessert was at the home of Meredith Thomson, followed by games and dancing on the Thomson patio. o , j Seniors Honored At Sunday Dinner ' Following the baccalaureate sermon for the graduating class Sunday evening, the mothers of J the seniors served a buffet din-1 nor in the basement of the Chris tian church.
