They are former resi dents of Heppner and were married here. , Former Heppner Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary Mr. ad Mrs. Alvln N. Wade of Cheyenne, Wyoming observed their 50th wedding anniversary May 6 at a reunion and dinner held at the Baptist church in Cheyenne. Mr. Wade was born in Hepp ner and he was married to Mabel Crawford here on May 2, 1906. The couple lived in Heppner and Tiiot Rock for several years be fore moving first to Idaho and then to Wyoming where they built the first camp ground and auto park In the Rocky Mountain area. It was built on the site of a camp used by Mr. Wade's fa ther when he crossed the plains in 1809. They still operate the modern cottage and trailer park In Cheyenne. The couple has three living children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roy Neill of Heppner is a sister of Mrs. Wade and she left last week for Cheyenne to attend the reunion. Rev. and Mrs. Charles Knox and children left Wednesday noon for Perkins, Oklahoma, to attend the 50th wedding anniversary of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Knox held Sunday. They will return May IS. George, Claude Graham, Robert Penland, E. K. Schaffitz, James Thomson, Leonard Schwarz, Gene Hall, William Labhart, L. D. Tibbies, Raymond Ferguson, Wallace Wolff and Gene Ferguson. Mrs. Raymond Ferguson held high score; Mrs. Wolff, second; Mrs. Tibbies, third; and Mrs. Fancher, low. o Past Matrons Club Meets Monday The Past Matrons club of the Order of the Eastern Star met on Monday April 30 at the home of Mrs. Frank Davidson. The main topic of business was the project for the year and it was decided to supply some needed articles for the Masonic and East ern Star home at Forest Grove. After the business meeting cards were enjoyed with Mrs. Frank Wilkinson having high score in bridge and Mrs. Harold Rocket hiuh in Chinese checkers, rr.frothmpnts were served at the close of the meeting.
