Student Body Play The lone student body had their ctudent body play, April 23, in the cafotorium. It was a big success. The name of it was "Sitting Pretty." Those who took part should be recognized. I Lindsay Kincaid, Loy Kcene, Kenney Jones, Ann Belle Cole man, Sule Coleman, Judy Ma son Sharon Cutsforth, John How ton, Jim Pryse, Alyce Mason, Neil McKay, Mardine Baker. It was directed by Mr. Step henson who has been very help ful with our outside activities. The play was a three act comedy. Prom Banquet The junior-senior prom ban quet was held April 28 at 6:30 p. m. For the menu we had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, safad, cranberry sauce, hot rolls, and orange sherbet for ressert. Rev. McKay gave the invoca tion, the welcome was given by Leland McKinney, the response by Alvin McCabe, the senior class will was read by Anna Jepsen and main speaker was Russ DeBondt, from Milton-Freewater. Phil Ncwitt gave a speech about the senior memories, Rev. Shirley gave the benediction. . Ann Coleman, Mardine Baker, and Gary Stephenson played a trio with their clarinets with Mrs. C. A. Brenner acecompanying. They played "Three Coins in a Fountain". The junior class would like to thank the Juniors' mothers for cooking the meal and the P-TA for putting it on, Junior-Senior Prom The juniors put on a prom in honor of the senior class. The theme of the prom was "Three Coins in a Fountain". The jun iors decorated the gym with a false ceiling of blue celephane, with silver coins hanging from the ceiling. The boys of the junior class made a fountain which was placed on the stage Monument News Miss Norma Geinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Geinger became the bride of Otis Ricker of Wapato, Wash. April 15 at Granger, Wn. They were here for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Engle and son Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mc Willis of Monument, Mrs. Harley Leasy and Mrs. Loyd Osborne of Fox drove to Pendleton Friday for the funeral of Jessie Muir, a cou sin. Dr. and Mrs. C. M. Dale and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dugger of Redmond were weekend visitors at the Bud Engle and McWillis homes. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Geinger and daughter of Moses Lake visited at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Geinger of Cotton and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Harris of Long Creek. Mrs. Ed Rounds entered the John Day clinic for minor sur gery Saturday. with water circulating through it all evening. They covered it with tinfoil and the wall behind the fountain was covered with tinfoil also. Colored lights were automatically turned off and on changing colors on the water and tinfoil. Davenports outlined the floor with painted street lamps on the side walls. The back wall scene was painted of the Eiffel tower , and a river with a steel bridge.
