real property to the City of Hepp.
ner and giving notice of public
hearing of such annexation.
WHEREAS, C. A. Kane and
Vivian Kane, husband and wife,
Roy Quackenbush and Melba
Quackenbush, husband and wife,
and Helen Cox have requested
that the real property hereinafter
described be annexed to the City
of Heppner and come under the
jurisdiction of said City, and
WHEREAS, each and all of
said tracts of land are continuous
and adjoining the southerly
boundary of the City of Heppner

the City of Heppner, Oregon, and
that an election to annex said
property be dispensed with, both
in the territory to be annexed
and within the corporate limits of
the City of Heppner and that the
City Recorder cause notice of
said annexation to be published
in the Heppner Gazette Times, a
newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Heppner
for two successive weeks prior
to the time of such hearing and
post a like notice in four public
places in said City of Heppner for
a like period of time.
Section 2: WHEREAS, conditions
are such that an emergency is
hereby declared and this ordi
nance shall become in full force
and effect upon its passage by
the council and approval of the
Mayor.
