Mrs. James Sumner Guest of Honor At Shower Wednesday Mrs James Sumner was hon ored at a stork shower, Wednes day evening, March 28 at the school. For men William Barratt was high, Jack Bailey, second and Lowell Gribble, low. In pinochle Mrs. Robert Dobbs held high for women; Mrs. Clar ence Johnson, second and Mrs. Bert Kane, low. For men Lin coln Nash was high; Rosco Storey second, and Floyd Worden, low. Mrs. E. K. Schaffitz received the door prize. The committee in charge of the party was Mrs. P. W. McMurdo, Mrs. Richard Wells, Mrs. Frank Anderson, Mrs. James Valentine and Mrs. James Norene. one Sorority Has April Fool Party The Beta Omega chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha held a sur prise rush party Monday, March 21 at the home of Mrs. Loren Leathers. April Fool was the theme with appropriate games and decorations. A short business meeting was conducted by president, Mrs. Donald Heliker. Mrs. Tad Mil ler, treasurer, reported donations had been received from Willows grange and the Garden Club for the cemetery fund. Art Stefani asked the group to serve lunch for the sale he is planning April 2? which will in crease the cemetery fund by $50.00. Invited guests were Mrs. Larry Pryse, Mrs. Joe Hausler, Mrs. Sam Crawford and Mrs. C. E. Brenner. Bridge Club Meets At Floyd Jones Home The Fidas and Fyoudas met for eight o'clock dessert bridge last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Floyd Jones. Mrs. Paul Jones had high score and Mrs. L. E. Dick was second. Others present were Mrs. How ard Bryant, Mrs. William Cox, Mrs. Herman Green, Mrs. Robert Ferrell, Mrs. Carnett Green and Mrs. Frank Connor. High Score Held By Mrs. Labhart At Bridge Friday Night Mrs. Kemp Dick was hostess for three tables of bridge Friday evening. Mrs. Labhart had high score, and Mrs. Blakney, second high. PONY KICKS By Mary Stewart The girls' softball lntramurals got underway last week. In the opening game, Boulden's, Bull dogs whipped Mallon's Sluggers, 15-5. Surprisingly, another 15-5 score turned up when Howell's Bums beat Sam Green's Yanks in the second round of the boys' soft ball tournament. Howell's Bums now lead the pack with 2 wins, 1 loss. , New officers for the eighth grade have been chosen. Mike Gray turned up as president; Tony Upton, vice president; Bon nie Hannan copped the treasurer spot; and Connie Anderson be came secretary. Keeping law and order as Sergeant of Arms will he Mickey Van Schoiack. Many unclaimed articles have turned up in the lost and found department. Any student who Is missing some object, is advised to look either In the case in the new or old school building. A National school assembly program was held April 5, at 3 o'clock.
