But the HGS basket ball squad came through victori ously again and won both of them, the A, 30-26, and B. 24-3. Gary Huit led the scoring for the A with 11 points, and Stuart Gribble racked up the most for the B, with a total of 8 points. Next Friday afternoon the two teams play lone, and Saturday night, Condon. Both games are to be played here. The seventh grade is making a pictoiial time chart on their walls. It is being drawn by the students and dates from 3,000 B. C. to modern times. This is one of the social study projects that Mrs. Blanche Boulden has plan ned for her class. Girls intramurals have been organized in the grade school now, reports John Snyder, eighth grade teacher and basketball coach. Four squads have been picked and will compete together in all types of sports. The four captains are Libby Van Schoick, Shirley Gaines. Geraldine Swag gart, and Diane McCurdy. These games are for girls in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades and will be played every Wed- Monument News By Martha Matteson Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Van Dusen are the parents of a son born Jan. 10 at the Blue Mountain hospital at Prairie City. The boy tipped the scales at 8 lbs. 10 ozs., and has been named Fred rick Lyle. During her stay away from home Mrs. Gus Peterson kept the othe two children. Mrs. Earl Lewis and Mrs. Bob Neil and children drove to Prine ville Tuesday. Darrel Farrens and Stanley Musgrave rode the range area last week looking for cattle that are still on the range.
