GREEN-PALMER WEDDING HELD
SUNDAY AT METHODIST CHURCH
A bride of Sunday afternoon,
November 26, was Miss Sally
Palmer, whose wedding to James
Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornett
Green was solemnized at the
Methodist church. Reverend Les
ter Boulden officiated.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Palmer, was given in
marriage by her father. She wore
a ballerina length gown of white
lace and her elbow length veil
was held in place with a cap of
sequins and pearls. She carried
a bouquet of white roses and
stephanotis.
Miss Mary Ruth Green, maid of
honor wore a wine chrystalette
gown, with pink, pearl trimmed
headdress and carried pink chry
santhemums as did the brides
maids, Miss Jean Marie Graham
and Miss Patricia Wright.
I Ralph Marlatt was best man
and ushers were Stephen Green,
Terry Thompson, Al Parent and
Neil Beamer.
Gowned in pink chrystalette
were the candle lighters, . Miss
!SharOn Rill and Mrs. Herbert
.Peterson. Sherri Lynn O'Brien
was the flower girl. She wore a
'pink dress and carried a basket
'of red roses. Paul Green, nephew
lof the groom, carried the ring on
fa white satin pillow.
(The mother of the bride was
dressed in navy blue with pink
accessories and the mother of the
fgroom wore navy with white ac-1
kcessories. Both wore pink rose
Ibud corsages.
At the reception following the
'wedding, Mrs. Lawrence Palmer

The bride is a graduate of
Heppner high school and attend
ed E. O. C. E, at La Grande. The
groom graduated from Heppner
high school and attended busi
ness college in Portland. After
a short wedding trip the couple
will be at home here.
Shower Given For
Miss Sally Palmer
The Home Economics Club of
the Rhea Creek grange honored
Miss Sally Palmer with a shower,
Tuesday, November 22 at .the
grange hall.
Pink and white candles and
pink and white chrysanthemums
were used on the tables, and a
pink and white umbrella shower
ing kitchen gadgets was featured.
On the hostess committee were
Mrs. Orian Wright, Mrs. John
Bergstrom, Mrs. Alfred Lovgren,
Miss Marilyn Bergstrom and Mrs.
Harold Wright. The hostesses
gave Miss Palmer a guest book
for her wedding.
Over forty from lone, Lexing
ton, Heppner and the Rhea Creek
area were present and fourteen
gifts were received from others
who could not be present.
Party Celebrates
Eighteenth Birthday
Mrs. George Little entertained
at a birthday party Friday even
ing, in honor of the eighteenth
birthday of George Little Jr.
The evening was spent in play
ing canasta and bridge and prizes
were won by Albert Esch and
Helen Graham for high score in
canasta and Mr. and Mrs. Stan
ley Holm for bridge.
Cake, coffee, and punch were
served by the hostess, assisted
by Mrs. Allen Case and Mrs.
Lucy Peterson.

Sally Cohn, Alice Peterson, James
Monahan, Meredith Thomson,

ber 25. Mrs. Jack Flug was ini

of the Triple Link club was held

Nations Pilgrmage and it was
voted to make the valentine
