Mrs. Jack Bedford, Reporter Social Boardman Couple Wed in Hermiston By Mary Lee Marlow At a 2 p. m. ceremony Sunday, : Sept. 25, at the First , Baptist church in Hermiston, Miss Nan cy Ruth Simmons, Boardman, daughter of Mrs. Madge A. Sim mons, Richards, Tex., and N. J. Simmons, Houston, Tex., became the bride of Earl James Curtis, Boardman, son of Earl E. Cur- tis, Irrigon, and Mrs. Lydia Ol son, Pilot Rock. The service was performed by the Rev. H. P. Sconce, church pastor. Mrs. Frank Marlow played the wedding marches. The bride, given in marriage by E. E. Curtis, was lovely in a blue orlon suit with white hat and accessories. She wore a white carnation corsage. For something old she carried a handkerchief made by her mother 14 years ago, which had insertions of love knots from London, England, that were 150 years old. They were given to her by a friend, Miss Katherine B. Morgan, of Houston, formerly of London. For something new the bride wore a rhinestone necklace and earrings. For something borrowed she wore the traditional blue garter loaned to her by her matron of honor. Mrs. Jeanne Skjei, Boardman, was matron of honor and wore a dress of white faille trimmed with black, and white hat. She wore a corsage of red carnations. Cliff Ernst, Arlington, was best man. Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the Saddle Room of the Hitchin'. Post cafe in Boardman. The centerpiece of the lace-covered table was of fall flowers and yellow candles. The three-tiered cake was cut and served by Miss Lorna Shannon, STARTS MONDAY J HI? (3QGbC0B Stock Up! 7exoff ASPIRIN Pure S-grain tablets. 100's mm mm Dam cj W W mmm.
