She wore a I shoulder length veil of white net and lace mitts and earned a bou quet of yellow rosebuds centered with an orchid. Miss Rene Griffith, maid of honor, wore lavender nylon and carried a nosegay of yellow iris, The bridesmaids, Nancy Wright, sister of the bride, Judy Bradford, cousin of the bride, Adelia Ander son and June Privett wore similar frocks of yellow nylon and car ried nosegays of lavender iris. Larry Lovgren was best man and ushers were .Malcolm McKinney, Stacey Lovgren, Jerry Haguewood and Robert Steagall. Yellow tapers were lit by Jean and Jeanette Addy of Hermiston. Ring bearers were Jack and John Hatfield of Lexington. The two flower girls, Sue Griffith and Deanne Wright, sister of the bride, were attired in yellow nylon gowns, similar to those of the bridesmaids. Mrs. O. G. Haguewood, mother of the groom, wore a two-piece black and white gown with white accessories and a red rosebul cor sage. Mother of the bride, Mrs. Oral Wright, was attired in blue and white and wore a corsage of blue delphinium. Mrs. J. OTurner, at the organ, accompanied Miss Marilyn Mun kers who sang "Because of You" and "Always." At the reception following the ceremony, the wedding cake was cut by Mrs. Bert Kane and Mrs. Herbert Hamilton, aunts of. the bride. Pouring were Mrs. Henry Happold, grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Earl McKinney. At the punch bowl was Mrs. Don Hatfield. The groom's cake was cut by Mrs. Mark Church of Port-, land, aunt of the bride. Miss Pat Steagall was in charge of the guest book and Miss Marilyn Munkers had charge of the gift table. Out of town guests at the wed ding were Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Hall, Mrs. Reta Oviatt and Ricky, Mrs. Charles Lane, Mrs. Mark Church, Carolyn Church and Marilyn South all of Portland. Following a wedding trip, the young couple will be at home at the Haguewood ranch, where the groom will be associated with his father in farming. Tuesdays POTLUCK HONORS WALKERS A potluck dinner was held Sun day at the Methodist church, fol lowing the services, in honor' of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Walker. The Walkers are moving to Roseburg from Heppner, where he will be with the State Tax Commission. Mr. and Mrs. Robert . Fenland and Neal returned Monday from a few days spent at Wallowa Lake. Miss Wilma Jean Hug Becomes Bride of Sidney Ferguson Miss Wilma Jean Hug, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnin Hug, of Boardman became the bride of Sidney Ferguson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ferguson, in a quiet ceremony at the Boardman Com munity church Saturday, July 2, at 9 a. m. The service was read by the Rev. A. E. David, pastor of the Methodist church, Hermiston, before a flower decked altar. The bride wore a navy blue suit with white accessories with a white orchid corsage. Miss Wanda Hug was her sis ter's only attendant, and wore a blue suit with a red rose corsage. Leonard Bedord, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. A reception was held in the basement of the church following the ceremony for members of the two families. After the first piece of the four tiered cake was cut by the couple, the cake was cut and served by Mrs. Delmer Hug, sister-in-law of the bride. Mrs. Guy Ferguson served at the punch bowl, and Mrs. Ralph Ferguson poured at the coffee table. The bride was a graduate of Boardman high school in 1954, and attended Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland last year. After a short honeymoon trip they will live at Newport, where the groom is employed. Wagners Entertain Saturday Evening . Guests of Dr. and Mrs. C. M. Wagner last Saturday evening, enjoyed the showing of four color films, two of which dealt with flower culture. These were "Back ground for Beauty," filmed by Ferry-Morse Seed Company and "The Bellingrath Garden Story". The Bellingrath Gardens are situ ated in Mobile, Alabama and are seen by thousands of visitors each year. Other films shown were "Wings Over Gaspe", a pic torical story of fishing and bird life peculiar to the Province of Quebec and an underwater photo graphic story of marine life in the Bahamas. Those present were Miss Leta Humphreys, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Barratt, Mr .and Mrs. Jack Bed ford, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ogle tree, Mrs. Floyd Adams, Miss Nancy Adams, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Turner and granddaughter, Mrs. Lois Rogers and children, Mrs. lone Trowbridge, Richard Way, Miss Jenieve Meador, Ro bert Becker and children, Mrs. Robert Robinson, Orlin Huston, Lionel Huston and Melvin White and children. Har tin of Moro, on June 19 at The Dalles, Miss Janice Martin of Heppner, cousin of the groom, was a candlelighter and she wore nile green. Mrs. Randall Martin, aunt of the groom, poured at the recep tion that followed the ceremony and Mrs. James Healy, aunt of the groom assisted in cutting and serving the cake.
