a dinner Dec. 19 in honor of their
son, Pvt. Richard Ray Botts who
left for duty in the Hawaiian Is

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ray made a
trip to Pasco last week to visit
their granddaughter and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Downing. The
Downings are the parents of a
boy, Mark' born Dec. 23. Mr. and
Mrs. Lester Goodrich of Husum,
Wash, are the grandparents. The
Downings daughters Dianne and
Teresa returned home with the
Rays.
Mrs. Lana Padberg was a guest
of the Loyal Parkers in Heppner
on Christmas.
Mr. and Mrs. George Griffith
and daughter, Charlotte, of Mor
gan are on a trip east.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cole of Was

have moved to Pendleton.

church Thursday evening Dec.
23 by Heinz Pruss. The Young
People went caroling afterward
and were served sandwiches at
the McKay home afterward.

spent Christmas at Salem with
their daughter and family, Mr.
and Mrs. J. P. Darst. Their other
children, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Carlson and daughters of Port
land, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hope
