Those who took office were: Mrs. C. C. Carmichael, worthy matron; Paul Jones, worthy pat ron; Mrs. Roy Quackenbush, as sociate matron; Howard Keith ley, associate patron; Mrs. Tom Wells, secretary; Mrs. Edna Tur ner treasurer; Mrs. Dick Wilkin son, conductress; Mrs. L. D. Tib bies, associate conductress; Mrs. Oliver Creswick, chaplain; Mrs. Dean Hunt, marshall; Mrs. Fred Hoskins,' Jr. organist; Mrs. How ard Bryant, Ada; Mrs; J. R. Huff man, Ruth; Mrs. Paul Webb, Es ther; Mrs. Fred Sanders, Martha; mrs. Edgar Albert. Electa; Mrs. Paul Jones, Warder; Dick Wilk inson, sentinel; courtesy girls, Mrs. Frank Davidson, Mrs. La Verne Van Marter, Mrs. George Rugg and Mrs. Gene Hall. Installing officers were Mrs. Tom Wells, past matron; Tom Wells, past patron, assisted by Mrs. Frank S. Parker, installing chaplain, Mrs. Gene Ferguson in Stalling marshall and Mrs. Char les Ruggles installing organist. The introduction of the Bible in to the chapter room was made by 12 Rainbow Girls assisted by Mrs. Frank S. Parker and Jean Marie Graham who acted as worthy advisor. The flag was carried to the East by Frank S. Parker assiste'd by Mrs. Oliver Oreswiek. Speeial raasie was by Oliver Creswick wha sang The L&rcTs Prayer and Mrs. Lu-ey Fe&wson who sang I Shall Not Pass This Way Again. The banquet was served before the installation with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Becke't, Dtitgoteg ma tron and patron, in charge. Decorations were in keeping with the watchword. About 200 attended the banquet and. insl-al ilation. Out of town dignitaries pre jsent were Mrs. Florence Yeager, Condon chapter No. 23, Grand 'representative from the state of Kansas; Mrs. Anna Hevel, worthy matron of Bushee chapter No. 19 I Pendleton; Mrs. Sam McMillan, worthy matron of Locuts chapter l No. 119, lone; and Dick Logan, I worthy patron of Jasmine chapter Arlington. lone Sorority Has Educational Program The Beta Omega chapter of Epsjlon Sigma Alpha met at the home of Mrs. Francine Crawford with Mrs. Lucia Cutsforth as co hostess on Dec. 9. It was voted to donate some money to the American Legion for their electric stove. The social meeting for Decem ber was postponed as it came so near Christmas. The educational program was led by Mrs. Virginia Snow. .Mrs. Eulenna Corley reviewed the book, Not As A Stranger, by Mor ton Thompson and Mrs. Eileen Padberg reviewed Spider King by Schconer. A poem was read by everyone in the group and Mrs Padberg was voted the most out standing reader. Refreshments of Cookies and coffee wene served after the meet ifig. Mrs. W. O. George wrote and read a poem especially for the occassion and Mrs. Mary Van Stevens read a poem, "Babyland". During the meeting Mrs. Blak ney opened her gifts and they were passed around. Mrs. Mary Van Stevens an nounced the coming election on December 22, on the park issue and said that everyone should read the notice and know what they were voting on. The next meeting will be the Christmas program and on Mon day December 20 the Christmas party will be held at the E. E. Gonty home. There will be no meeting on December 23. Ed Craber, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Neill, Holiday Decorations Theme of Unit Meet Sixteen members of the Hepp ner Extension unit met at the home of Mrs. N. C. Anderson on Tuesday. The project for the day was holiday decorations under the leadership of Mrs. Paul Warren and Mrs. Kenneth Keeling. Each member made a wreath and the leaders showed how to make centerpieces, candle holders, door swags and charm strings.
