Conservative estimates place national milk losses from mastitis at more than 20 percent. J. O. Schnautz, OSC veterinar ian, who wrote the bulletin says mastitis garget, caked udder reduces the value of the best milk cow to carcass value. In the bulletin, 28 questions and answers are given to ex plain what mastitis is, what its symptoms are, and how to control it. GUARANTEE SACK Neuberger is NO FRIEND of Eastern Oregon He has made every possible effort to consolidate our counties-destroy our county government-kill our identity-reduce our representation in state government by re ducing our members of the legislature and Senate. Read his reapportionment proposal in the magazine section of the Sunday Oregon Journal Feb. 22, 1953: "Let's Merge Our Counties" "Oregon has 36 counties.- It needs no more than 8 counties ot most. I (Neu berger) have drafted the first bill ever drawn to seek this unification. On Monday, Feb. 23, 1 953 it is my intention to introduce in the State Senate a bill reducing Oregon to 8 counties .... "Article 6. American county shall consist of the present counties of Morrow, Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes,, Crook, Wheeler, Sherman and Gilliam. "ARTICLE 3. MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHALL HAVE ITS BOUNDARIES UNCHANGED." ' -4 Neuberger suggests consolidating Eastern Oregon counties, but leaves Mult nomah County intact This is, of course, to garner votes and curry favor in the largest' voting county in the state.
