Huddleston entered the St. Anthony's hospital at Pen dleton on Tuesday, October 27th and underwent surgery on Wed nesday. Her condition at this time is very satisfactory', accord ing to Mr. Huddleston, who re turned home Friday. a patient at the Pioneer Memorial hospital at Heppner, is improving daily, and is expected home, this week. Mr. Williamson visited her Saturday. Mr. Earl and Clarence Randies from San Francisco, California are visiting their step-mother, Mrs. Audra Randies, for a few weeks. Mrs. Elsie Greenfield, the grade school teacher at Lonerock, enter tained with a Hallowe'en party for young and old, Saturday night at the school house. Witches, gob lins, black cats and pumpkins were in evidence during the evening. Refreshments served later in the evening were en joyed by all. J Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rogers and children of Hermiston, Mr. and Mrs. Cameron of Sweethome are weekend visitors and hunters at the Ben Rogers home. Word was received by Pete Haynes that his aunt passed away at Eugene on Monday. The funeral services were neici wea nesdav. October 28th, at Laurel Oregon. Mr. Haynes attended the funeral sorvlces at that city and returned home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Orie Conboy from Boardman, visited their daugh ter and family, the Earl Talbert and Bill Conboy family on Thurs day. Mrs. Alcy motored to Fossil Fri day, and spent the night with her daughter and family, the John Wood's, returning home on Sat urday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Harrison spent Sunday visiting with Mrs Harrison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rogers. Mr. Floyd Pullen made a nur ried trip to Heppner Friday. ALL Mr. and Mrs. Ed Round were called to John Day last Thursday by the illness of their daughter-in-law Eunice Round of Seneca Mrs. Round was suffering from an attack of appendicitis and underwent surgery at the Jnhn Day Medical Center on Friday. She is reported as improv.n,: rapidly. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Moore and chidren left Thursday for Wal lowa, where they will visit Mrs. Moore's parents, Mr. and Mrs Herman Kirk. Mr. Moore will y in Mr. Kirk and his son in hunting for elk. George Stubblefield moved his steers from the old Hunt place to his home ranch, Thursday. He will start feeding them grain in get them ready for shipment. Arlyn Davis, who is in the Army wrote his Mother, Mrs. Walter Weise he would be home next Monday. After his leave expires he expects to be sent East to a cooking school . Mr. and Mrs. Rex Sweek, Doris Capon and Trella Boggs drove to Heppner Thursday where Mr. Sweek had a medical check-up. Mr. and Mrs. Sweek remained at the home of their son and daugh- ter-in law, .Mr. and Mrs. Ned, Bend. aid. Spike Miller made a business trip to Hermiston last Friday. The Millers now have their plans for their new house and hope to start building a cement block house before long. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Hinshaw of Mt. Vernon are living in one of the Wilson apartments. Mr. Hinshaw is employed by Robert Kincaid. Ted Hinshaw, deputy sheriff in Bend visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Hinshaw Thursday evening.
