George Crum is spending a few days in Hood River. Phil Griffin spent the weekend with his sister, Mrs. Glenn Ball, who is ill in a hospital in Yak ima. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Peterson and family of The Dalles were visitors here Sunday. Bobby Lee DeSpain celebrated his 6th birthday at a party at the Masonic hall Tuesday April 21. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kincaid and Lindsay Kincaid spent Sunday in Hermiston. Mrs. Ruby Nichols is staying at the Joe Stevens home in Tilla mook. The Stevens are the par ents of a son. They were former residents here. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Land of Port Orchard, Wash., are visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wm. Berpstrom. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Lee of Ta- coma, Wash., are guests at the Sam McMillan home. Miss Ruby Ann Rietmann, stu dent at E. 0. C. E. was initiated in he Sigma Alpha Chi an honor ary sorority recently. Oscar Peterson attended the Lutheran church conference in Yakima last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wate Crawford, and son, Arthur and Mrs. John Voorhees and daughters were Walla Walla and Helix visitors last week. Mrs. Voorhees and daughter returned to their home in Portland. Garden Club meeting at the home of Mrs. Phil Griffin Tues day April 14. Mrs. Ernest Heli ker showed slides of different pro jects and yards around town.
