The ring bearer, Stephen Parks, nephew of the bride, was dressed in white and carried the two rings on a white satin pillow. The candalighters, Miss Mary Ruth Green, sister of the groom, and Miss Betty Smith, niece of the bride, wore pink and green net ballerina gowns with matching head dress. Joseph Green of Pendleton, uncle of the goom, was best man and ushers were James Orwick, James Green, Fritz Cutsforth and Robert Cunningham of Heppner. The church was decorated with lavender and yellow chrysanthe mums. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Cox chose a navy blue suit with blue accessories and an or chid corsage. Mrs. Green wore a rose biege lace frock with black accessories and an orchid corsage. The grandmothers, Mrs. Alex Green and Mrs. William French of Heppner, wore navy blue suits with black accessories and a gar denia corsage. Lavon Cox, brother of the bride, sang "Always" and "How Deep Is the Ocean" accompanied by Miss Marjorie Kolman who also played the wedding marches. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the church parlors with the bridal party in the receiving line. The bride and groom cut the first piece of the three tiered wed ding cake decorated in pastel shades of pink and green and topped with a miniature bride and groom. Mrs. Audrey Smith, sister of the bride continued with the serving of the cake. Mrs. McNabb is the daughter of Ben Cox and Is a graduate of Heppner high school. Mr. and Mrs. McNabb are both stationed at Hamilton Field, in Hamilton, California. During the regular lodge session, a recess was de clared and the Noble Grand, Mrs. Past Noble Grands Have Christmas Party Mrs. John Bergstrom and Mrs. Frank Parker entertained the Past Noble Gram's Club at its annual Christmas party Tuesday evening at the Bergstrom home on Aiken street. Oween Stark to Sfc Leonard Marcotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Marcotte of Auburn Wash., in the Chapel of Camp Stoneman on November 27th at a military wedding. The bride for merly resided at Hay, Wash., and graduated from high school there. She has been a member of the Women's Army Corp for the past two years. The groom has seen some 67 months service with the army overseas, fourteen months of which have been spent in Korea. At present, he Is stationed at Madigan General Hospital, Ta eoma, where he is in the post of fice. The bride is stationed at Camp Stoneman, California. The young couple departed for their stations Wednesday after visiting in Heppner with parents and other relatives. 'Sweet Little Jesus Boy," accom panied by Mrs. Robert Walker and Mrs. J. There was an exchange of gifts and free will offering which is to be sent to the Oddfellows Home in Portland for use by the members there. The rooms were effectively decorated in the Christmas motif with the tree in the main lodge room and the dining room tables arranged with candles and greens. The committee in charge of arrangements included Mrs, Don Robinson, Mrs. Charles Beck ett, Mrs. Blanche Brown, Mrs. A. J. Chaffee, Mrs Victor Groshens, Mrs Scott Furlong, Mrs! Officers Elected At Shrine Dinner Party Members of the Shrine Club and the Shrine Auxiliary enjoyed a turkey dinner and' Christmas party at the American Legion hall Saturday evening. Wrapped gifts were brought to send to the Shrine hospital. Officers elected were Robert Grabill, president of the Shrine Club; Robert Runnion, Vice prcsi- 'dent; and MervMn Leonard, Secre tary-treasurer. Auxiliary offi cers are Mrs. Grabill, president; Mrs. Runnion, vice president ; and Mrs. Leonard, secretary-treasurer. Christmas Story Read At Soroptimist Club The Christmas Story was read by Mrs. Mary Van Stevens at the Soroptimist luncheon at O'Don nell's Thursday December 18. Mis. C. C. Carmichael was in charge of the program, which also featured Christmas carols sung by the members with Mrs. Carmich ael at the piano. ' - Mrs. Mary Doherty of Lexing ton was a guest of the club. Final arrangements were made for the Christmas party to be held at the E. E. Payne spent Wendesday in Pendleton and Iiormiston where they visited Mr. Ayers' sis ter, Mrs. Rov Coxen, who has just returned home from St. Anthony's hospital where she recently un derwent a major operation.
