We Like To Help Folks Build Udell Reunion Held At lone By Echo Palmateer The annual reunion of the Lun dell families was held at the Grange hall Thanksgiving day with around 70 attending. A pot luck dinner was served. Rela tives coming from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Harland Lun dell and children of Boise, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Swanson and childern of Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Elmo McMillan and daugh ter Beverly, of Salem; Mr. and Al Johnson (Eva Sloane) of Coos Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Helena and sons of Seattle; Mrs. Warren Crutcher and son, Lee, of Boring and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Park and son of Portland. The visi tors were Mr. and Mrs. Webster Hamlett of Sunnyvale, Calif, and Miss Ann Richards of Portland. Robert Drake, son of Mr. and Mrs. C'leo Drake was also present. He just returned from Okinaw where he has been in the U. S. Army. He left Friday for Camp Lewis, Wash, where he will receive his seperation soon. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Lindstrom entertained them in the evening at their home. Thanksgiving guests at the Verner Troedson home were, Mrs. Georgia Brewster and Shirlee McGreer and Mr. and Mrs. How, ard Nottage of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Johan Troedson and Carl son Troedson. Mr. and Mrs. Verner Troedson and Mr. and Mrs. Jodie Morrison attended the Lawrence-Boylen wredding in Pendleton Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Rice of The Dalles spent Thanksgiving with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rice. Portland visitors last week were Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Craw ford and daughter,4 Marlene, and Marilyn Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peterson and family Rollo and Clyde Crawford were Portland visitors last week and brought Rodney Crawford Sr. back with them who spent the holidays at the home of his bro ther, Wate Crawford. Mrs. L. F. Kearns of Siletz spent Thanksgiving with her daughter Mrs. Wilbur Akers. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoover and familv of Pendleton were Thanksgiving guests at the home of her sister, Mrs E M. Baker. Around 75 friends attended a farewell party for Mr. and Mrs John Ransier and son Gene, at the Legion hall Sunday evening. A polluck dinner was served and the evening spent in playing cards. A money tree was pre sented to the Ransiers. They are leaving this week for their new home in Unity where they have purchased a stock ranch. The Ransiers have lived in the Mor gan community for over ten years, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen spent Thanksgiving at the Her shall Townsend home near Hepp ner. Lyle Kincaid of the Blind school in Salem was a weekend visitor at the home of his mother, Mrs. Ruby Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roundy and children of Kennewick were visi tors here last week. Thanksgiving guests at the Leonard Carlson home were Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Darst and sons of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hope of Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Carlson and daughters of Seat tle and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Carl son and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Harlin Devin and family of Condon spent the holi days with her mother Mrs. Lana Padberg. Earl Padberg returned to La Grande where he is employed at the E. O. C. E. after visiting with relatives here. Thanksgiving guests at the Henry Osibov home were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Southworth and children of Seneca and Mr. and Mrs. David Raskin and daugh ter. Mrs. Raureen Nelson and Hub ert Thoreson spent the holidays in Portland with her relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Seehafer and daughters, Joann Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Corley and daughter spent the holidays with relatives in Corvallis. Ely returned home from the St. Anthony hospital In Pen dleton last week where he under went surgery on his hip. A full course turkey dinner was served for the school child ren Wednesday of last week. School will be let out at 3:30 p. m. and will take up at 12:20 at the noon hour. The Leo Studios of Opportunity Wash., took pictures at the school for the annual at the school last week. The pictures were taken of the grades, high school, indi vidual pictures of the high school students, organized groups, foot ball, band and the twirlers and other groups. Oral Palmateer, of the Stand ard Oil Company of Salem, showed films at the school one day last week. One of which was the Dancing Silver Slipper. All the reforcement concrete has been poured for the new school building, the roof sup ports for the cafetorium-kitchen are being put in and the Inside frame is being prepared.
